After seeing the work of another DiD artist who is a virtuoso in tape shading daikinbakuju.deviantart.com/ar… , I hacked out a few Uhura sketches for the purpose of practicing to see if I could adapt (i.e. shamelessly steal.) this exceptional technique.

As seems to often be the case, as I went along with the sketechs, they all seemed to follow the same theme, so I decided to throw them into some panels and cobble together something approximating a comic book page.

The story here, more or less, is that Uhura is rudely awaked from a deep (Most likely chloroform induced.) slumber through yet another creative use of the ubiquitous Triskelian collar. Upon waking, of course, she discovers she is taped-up like a bundle of priority mail.

I am hoping the pictures are enough to communicate this little idea, however, if anyone has any ideas for snappy captions, kewl sound effects, or deep thought balloons as our heroine contemplates her fate. I would be very interested to see them.
