During the mass "recruitment" of the Maidifiables aboard the late MCI Hegemon, it was discovered that a member of their medical staff had a near pathological fear of intelligent machines.

The illogic inherent in including someone with such a limitation upon an expedition to assault a machine dominated planet was so profound it actually presented a legitimate danger to the mechanisms of the boarding party.

Nurse Shawna was the last crewmember to be collected, because several RTD's had to be reprogrammed to understand that her inclusion in the crew was so illogical that it became dangerous, and was therefore logical, considering the Hegemon's mission.

It took the sacrifice of 107 RTD core processors before the programming language was found to deal with the problem, at which point, Nurse Shawna was "recruited" in the standard manner.
