The threat of chipification adds about 10x more peril to the maid life. Mind control, very Black Mirror-spooky. I'm doing the Benefactors the courtesy of assuming they use it only for grave offenses; not “this robo-tini has too much vermouth” or “you missed a spot on the carpet.” More like "you tried to stab me in the circuit board with your stiletto points again. Time for the Chip!"
